Several years ago, we started using lights to do out-of-season breeding. Our commitment to our goats includes using all their products on our homestead and we sure appreciate having lots of great winter milk.
Tansy was born in October of 2007 and freshened in February of 2009 at 16 months of age. Knowing she was going to have to show in the 2 yr old classes at most of the shows we almost didn't keep her. It was just that she was so pretty, thus she stayed. Tansy is extremely correct,
and a consistent milker. She has been an outstanding brood doe for us with two milking daughters and three milking granddaughters currently retained in the herd.
