WINGWOOD FARM
SEMEN FOR SALE
The current Wingwood Farm herd sires on this list have pedigrees, general information and pictures that are available on our website, www.wingwoodfarm.com. AI has been an integral part of our breeding program since we bred our foundation, Tamalpais, to CF Blaise in 1991. Semen is available from some of these early Wingwood Farm herd sires and information is available on some of them on our website in the Reference Herd Sire section. If a buck has an asterisk (*) after his name, then a brief description is included in the Addendum after this table. We mention several successful herds that used this early semen in their development. Selling of these earlier bucks is complicated by the fact that their G6S status is mostly unknown. As a result, we are making the following offer. If you purchase any of this G6S status unknown semen from Wingwood Farm bucks (U*) and have it tested, we will refund the purchase price of the semen upon proof of registration of offspring. We also offer a 10% discount for purchases that are over $600.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION ON INDIVIDUAL BUCKS
*SEE BUCKS WITH ASTERICK AFTER NAME
SGCH +*B WINGWOOD FARM LUCKY AMADEUS - Two impressive does in his immediate pedigree, his dam SGCH WF Tim Aminance, and SGCH Iron Owl Pika, 3x National Champion. His daughters, Abraxis, Alyssa, Avignon, Amicale, and Toi currently doing great things for us in the herd. Sire of 2019 Spotlight Sale Buck, Wingwood Farm Lovin Astaire.
*B WINGWOOD FARM LOVIN AMADOR - He was sold as a kid and produced some fine milkers in the Imnaha herd of Sam and Diane Miller of Oregon. His dam, Amati, is one of the tallest Nubians we ever bred with a gorgeous udder, going Best Udder of Breed at California State Fair. Amador’s half-sister, a 3 year old Candyman daughter, Amelie, is looking great this year. Last year she freshened with a single kid and peaked at 12 lbs. His sire is Amadeus, see above.
*B WINGWOOD FARM VISTA’S AMIGO - His dam, SGCH Wingwood Farm TJ Allegra, has been one of our best brood does ever and is the first doe in our “A ” line, so most of our animals go back to her. Allegra’s sire, Wingwood Farm Royal Trojan, (semen available) was the last son of our wonderful purebred foundation doe, Wingwood Farm Fire Tamalpais *M, who birthed him at 13 years of age. Tamalpais had 4 GCH offspring, including Tamerlane and Tammy (2nd 2 yr old 1995 National Show). Allegra’s dam, Lotuseater Allegria bred by Janis Dolphin, was the result of crossing two dominant lines from the early 90’s, the Chancellor line (Mountain Lion) and the Blaise line (Tamerlane). Crossing these two lines produced many superior animals. Amigo’s sire, Hasta la Vista, throws in some Kastdemur bloodlines. Redwood Hill used Amigo and the result was their “C” line and a 1st place yearling at the National Show. We could hardly use him, so he was sold young.
*B WINGWOOD FARM TINO ARAMIS – He is the son of our great 7 year old doe, SGCH Wingwood Farm Lucky Altima. She appraised 93 EEEE, was 4th 5 year old at the 2019 National Show and has been an excellent brood doe. Bred to Candyman she produced Amber who was 4th place 2 year old in 2019 and now as a 4 year old is proving to be a top producer. She has a lovely yearling milker, Anastasia. Altima is noted for her very strong medial suspensory ligament and the ability to milk 2200-2500 lbs. having only a single kid…..easily. Our best yearling milker in 2021 is an Aramis daughter out of Avina, Avocet. Aramis is still working in the herd, but might be for sale at some point.
DKGH DILLINGER – A yearling buck whose daughters we like a lot and there was a little extra semen on his baby buck collection that we could offer for sale. Dylan, his dam, is a very smooth-blended doe with a lot of style. Her sire is +*B Wingwood Farm Tac Typhoon who produced some impressive daughters in the Willow Lane herd. We like the Tactitian, (Premier Sire 2012) connection. Dill’s sire, Charleston Chew, with two National Champion daughters, needs no introduction. There is a picture of Dylan on the website. Thanks Dan Greene.
++*B WOEST-HOEVE ROYAL FORTUNE – We purchased Fortune after we saw Pika, his dam, at the 2012 National Show. Pika, 3X National Champion speaks for herself. Fortune threw her general correctness throughout, especially strength over the back and loin, correct feet and legs, openness of ribbing and angularity. He brought us one trait that we feel is super important for the Nubian breed. His progeny are notable for milking very well, in the 2400 to 2800 lb range after having only a SINGLE kid. This is very rare in the genetics we had been using. Crossed to Candyman and Tao, we are seeing does milking 12-13 lbs on a single kid. Fortune also inherited a shortness of body from some of the animals in his sire, Bluebeard’s pedigree. So, we bred him to our great, very long-bodied doe, Aminance and that was how we got Amadeus who has given us quite a few does with all of it. Fortune tested normal for G6S.
*B FAITH FARM GABRIEL - His dam, Faith Farm Testimony of Grace and her relatives were superior for udder structure through the influence of Bar-W Santana J. On the top side there was the influence of Chancellor/Blaise through Mountain Mama and Tamerlane. The udders were truly spectacular with near ideal teat placement. There are pictures in the reference Herd Sires on the website.
*B WINGWOOD FARM TAMAZING OH BOY – What a beautiful buck! He exemplified all that Amberwood Frost Chancellor contributed to the Nubian breed. Tamazing’s sire was Lotus Ladies Blue Boy, full genetic brother to Mountain Mam and Gabriel. Tamazing’s sister, Tamille was 1st place milking yearling at the 1990 National Show. There are quite a few pictures of these early animals on the website. The cross to Tamalpais lines was amazing!! We couldn’t use him much, but he does come down to us through Allegra whose dam was sired by a Tamazing son.
*B WINGWOOD FARM BLAISE TAMAX - He is a full genetic brother to Tamerlane, though he looked more like the Blaise side of the pedigree. We sold him young and he has few registered offspring. His sister, Tamadeira, was Reserve Grand Champion at California State Fair, a lovely, deep bodied red doe with excellent attachments.
WINGWOOD FARM BLUE TAMOON – This buck, used AI, gave Holly Buroker, Hoanbu Nubians, a great jumpstart in the early development of her herd with a beautiful daughter, Galilea. See Reference Herd Sires on our website for a picture of her. Tamoon was used again and through his son, Broad Stripes, continues to impact the herd. Hoanbu Status Misty Moonlight was Reserve National Champion. He was a very tall, very, long, very leggy buck and his sister Tamae, has always been one of our favorite does. Her picture is also on the website. His unfortunately is not.
++*SGCH WINGWOOD FARM BLAZIN TAMERLANE – We cannot say enough about this great buck. We used him for 4 years, but our herd slowly was dominated by his genes so we sold him to Crown Point Nubians where he continued in his winning ways and he can be found in some important Nubian pedigrees, especially his Mountain Mama son, *B Crown Point Mama’s Boy. Later we used him again AI and through his son, Tristar, he gave us Timothy, a sire you can find many, many times in the pedigrees of our herd today, especially his three daughters, Althea, Aminance and Tansy. A very, limited supply of his semen is being offered for sale by Private Treaty. His information is not updated on the website. He was tested G6S normal.
++*B WINGWOOD FARM VISTA’S TAO – We no longer have a Tao daughter in the herd. What amazing does! Arista was 1st 3 year old with Reserve Best Udder at 2015 National Show. Amati, so tall and long with a near perfect udder was Best Nubian Udder at California State Fair. Topeka was 1st place milking yearling at the 2012 National Show. These were very large, very powerful, very productive does. His dam Taipei, a Tessa daughter by Keiran, was one the most powerful, deep bodied does we ever bred. She also was the dam of two other also elite bucks, Talent at Redwood Hills and Typhoon at Willow Lane. We used Tao where we could, leased him out for a couple of years. He unfortunately died fairly young. We had a little bit of extra semen and thought he deserved to be used some more. He is G6S negative.
*B WINGWOOD FARM TIM’S TARANTINO – When we sensed that Timothy was getting ready to leave us, he came through with one last breeding, to Topeka, 1st place milking yearling at 2012 National Show. The result, Tarantino, was possibly the largest buck we ever bred, really, too much for us to handle. So we kept a son, Aramis, and he was sold to Clarion Nubians. He is G6S normal by parentage.
*B WINGWOOD FARM SON TEMPO – At the 2005 National Show we were so impressed with the Sonset daughters shown by Pat Lantz (Remuda), including Celeste and Peg Of My Heart, all yearling milkers, very productive. Celeste went on to become the 1st place 3 year old at National Show 2 years later. So we purchased some semen and the single conception we got gave us Tempo. He shows up in the pedigree of our outstanding “Elite” herd sire, Candyman, along with My-Enchanted-Acres Molly Brown, a Sonset daughter. Tempo’s dam was Twyla, a strong GA and MA doe, whose granddaughter, Toledo (2nd 2 year old 2012 National Show), produced some great sons, Tolkein, True Blue, Tyrion and Takoda.
*B WINGWOOD FARM ROYAL TROJAN – Trojan was a miracle waiting to happen. First it involved a 10 hour trip to Los Angeles with my 4 month daughter Trinity to watch the National Show. It was very, very hot. She lay in only her diaper on my lap while we watched the final line-up for selection of National Champion. There was an incredible line-up of does but one doe keep catching my eye, the 1st place 3 year old, a Price O the Field doe. She was statuesque. L & L Lactators Popcorn went on to win, but that 3 year old stuck in my mind’s eye. I was able to obtain some related semen. Second, our very special foundation doe, Tamalpais was 12 years old. She settled to Price O the Field Royal Eagle, was babied through the last 2 month of her pregnancy, birthed 2 bucks and died shortly thereafter. Trojan, the buck we kept sired two very important does for us, Allegra and Teresa. You can see comments about Allegra in our comments about Amigo , Trojan’s half brother. Allegra was 2nd place five year old with 1st udder at the 2005 National Show. Teresa turned out to be a very important doe for us. She is Timothy’s paternal and maternal grandam. She was bred AI to Brown Sugar’s Coup de Grace to produce Tessa, Timothy’s dam. Through numerous progeny she had a tremendous influence on our herd. She brought us oodles of milk and greatly improved udders, especially foreudder attachments. See our website for pictures. As a result of two AI breedings our herd was transformed. There is a good chance the Trojan semen is normal as his bloodlines do not include any Marvin or Trailblaiser.
