Purchasing Kids:
The prices quoted on the web-page are for domestic (within the United States), pre-ordered kids only that are picked up or shipped by the time they are 4-6 weeks of age. Kids that remain at the farm after that time may be charged a boarding fee and buyer will be responsible for any additional charges, such as veterinary visits or medications. We offer a multiple purchase discount on orders of 2 or more kids. International sales are considered on a per case basis only and additional cost will apply due to the extra time and work involved. New in 2022-2023: We are now requiring a deposit of $100 per reservation. This reservation in non refundable if you kid of choice is born and you choose to not follow through with the purchase. If the kid is not born the deposit can either be refunded, transferred to another kid or rolled over to the following year. If the kid of your choice is born a deposit of 50% of the purchase price must be made within two week of notification that your kid is born and meets our standard for sale. Final payment including health certificate costs, shipping and the remaining purchase price must be received in full prior to the shipping date or the kid may be sold to another buyer. Kids that are born that have not been reserved will first be offered to buyers with reservations were not filled. We reserve the right to retain any animal for any reason or to cancel a sale if the animal does not meet our high standard of quality. We are reserve the right to give preference to buyers that participate in ADGA performance programs. All buck kids will be DNA'd included in the price of purchase. We do offer reservations on kids from first fresheners, but if the doe does not meet our standard for milk and type we will cancel the reservation or offer an alternate kid if available. Any buck kid purchased from Wingwood Farm we reserve the right to purchase up to 20 straws of semen at cost.
Purchasing Milkers or Mature Bucks:
Mature animals are sold on a case-by-case basis. We sell both show quality and dairy replacement animals. Transport arrangements and payment must be made within 3 weeks of agreed purchase of mature animals unless otherwise arranged. Milking does that are not picked up within 3 weeks may incur a boarding fee, as may dry milkers and bucks and buyer will be responsible for any additional charges, such as veterinary visits or medications. Mature animals may be sold with a right of purchase of offspring or semen. Preference will be given to buyer that utilize performance programs, DHIR and Linear Appraisal.

Getting Your Wingwood Farm Animal:
The purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs including the shipping crate, airfare, any required health tests and interstate health certificates. There is not cost for delivery to the airport if the animal can be sent from Sacramento International Airport. Fauna lives 30 minutes from the airport so all kids will be shipped from her farm. We may find is necessary to charge a delivery fee if we have to transport the kid to any other airport. Estimated shipping costs and all fees associated with travel must be paid along with the purchase price at least 10 days prior to shipping the kid (refunds will be will be sent within 5 days of shipment, and balances must be paid within 5 day shipment). To meet legal interstate travel requirements kids must be shipped with their stamped duplicates, so if you would like to name your kid you must do so before shipment. We abide by the ADGA Recommended Trade Practices for Members (section XIX in the ADGA Guidebook). Alternately, you are always more than welcome to come to the farm and pick up your animal and see all his/her relatives. Commercial overland shipping can be arrange on a case-by-case basis.
Herd Health:
Animals are given the CD&T vaccination at 10 and 14 weeks, then yearly 4 weeks prior to kidding. Kids that are shipped are given CD&T prior to shipping regardless of age and it is recommended that they get boostered at 10 and 14 weeks of age in addition to the initial vaccine. All of our kids are treated for coccidia once a month from 4 weeks of age until weaning. All kids that are sold and leave the farm are treated for coccidia within just prior to leaving. We attend every kidding and kids are removed immediately from their dams, and raised in a separate facility where they stay until they are sold or moved to the main facility to be kept in our breeding program. They are fed heat treated goat colostrum and pasteurized goat milk from CAE negative does. We strongly urge you to continue your kid on a pasteurized milk program, especially if you show or buy animals from any outside herd.
