"Amina", as we called her, was the kind of doe that made all the work, all the sleepless nights, all the aching bones, all the time and dollars invested in breeding beautiful Nubians....worth it. She was
special from the day she was born. As a kid she stood out, going 1st Jr Kid at the 2007 California State Fair. As a yearling milker, she came in so perfectly balanced between length, width, and height, balanced between strength and dairiness, with just the prettiest udder, with good texture and milking well for having had just a single kid. As a two year old, she just blossomed, coming into really good milk. In the spring this caused her to have a hard time keeping weight on, but by mid-summer she came into balance and just got better and better, doing very well at Nationals (4th two year old), going 1st at Sonoma County Fair and 1st and RGCH at California State Fair in  August.  Besides being beautiful and productive, "Amina" was also a sweetheart, the mellow, dairy genes coming down from Tessa through her son, Timothy.
