Toni is one of the favorite does in our herd. She was 6th place three year old at the 2009
National Show and a member of our 2nd and 3rd place Dairy Herd and Best Three
Females respectively. She finished her Permanent Championship this year and we were
not surprised that she linear appraised 91. It was apparent from the day she was born that
this was going to be an incredibly correct doe. She is a cross between two of our strong
maternal lines, the "A" line (Allegra's son, Alessandro) and our "T" line (her dam, Taylor).
She, like a lot of our goats, is very large. While she has a real strong bone, more than a lot
of our other does, she is still clean and open in the ribbing. She is a very steady milker
carrying her production well into late lactation with a very soundly attached, well balanced
udder. Like all the Alessandro offspring she has wonderful udder texture. We love these
udders that collapse to nothing, because they just milk and milk, with low somatic cell
counts, and real ease of milking, especially on a machine. She is bred to J&R Spirits
Dakota Playboy with one doe kid retained in the herd and we'll look carefully at the bucks.
