Yearling milker
Taylor has an interesting pedigree. She is actually the most out-crossed doe in the herd. She
is the result of using 5 different, mostly unrelated bucks over five generations from our
original foundation doe, Tamalpais. But what bucks! H Homestead Quicksilver, Lotus Ladies
Blue Boy (full genetic brother to Mountain Mama and Gabriel), Trailblaiser, Misty Knoll's
Dandy Escort, and Six M Galaxy Posey's Nova. The resulting doe from from all these
consecutive out-crossings was Taylor's dam, SGCH Wingwood-Farm Nova Tarantella. She
was in the 99th percentile for milk production (5-08 305 3020 145 107) and linear appraised
3-3 91 EEEE. To get Taylor we crossed back into our own bloodlines for the first time, using
Wingwood Farm Romeo's Laredo, son of SGCH Wingwood Farm KR La Linda, and
grandson of GCH Wingwood Farm Luke Tamaulipas (RGCH 1999 National Show) You
couldn't ask for better General Appearance than you get from Taylor, especially the excellent
topline and very strong feet and legs. She is also large with a good strong bone.
