Several years ago, we started using lights to do out-of-season breeding. Our
commitment to our goats includes using all their products on our homestead and we
sure appreciate having lots of great winter milk. Eggnog....yum! So Tansy was born
in October of 2007 and freshened in February of 2009 at 16 months of age with a
single kid. Knowing she was going to have to show in the 2 yr old classes at most of
the shows we almost didn't keep her. It was just that she was so pretty. So she
stayed. Her first show was Nationals. She showed in the yearling class because of
cut-off dates and placed 7th. OK! So other people were seeing what we had seen in
her. Then she went 2nd at California State Fair in the two year old class behind our
other Timothy daughter, "Amina". All of a sudden we were taking a really close
look at this doe. Tansy is extremely correct, and a consistent milker.
