Taipei, like her dam Tessa, is a very special doe. She is the largest doe in a herd, with the best
set of shoulders. Her withers are so sharp and she blends so smoothly into the front end. She is
a very strong persistent producer with several lactations over 2500 lbs. She also has very high
butterfat and protein percentages. Her udder is impressive for its capacity and shape. We
thought as a 4 yr old that  mastitis was going to ruin half her udder. We dried off that half,
treated it aggressively until her next freshening and she came into full milk with no apparent
permanent damage. That was a lesson!  That same pregnancy, however, she went lame on one
rear leg and her rear pasterns have kind of been a mess since then, so we don't show her very
much. It was a real loss, because at her peak she was not a doe that could be overlooked. She
finished her Permanent Championship as a 3 year old and that same year was RGCH at Sonoma
County Fair. She has had some very nice daughters and we are excited with the newly freshened
daughters of her son, Wingwood Farm Ace's Talent, at Redwood Hill Goat Dairy. These are
large, strong, yet dairy does, milking between 7-10 lbs as first fresheners out of solidly attached
udders.
